At the heart of this artistic process is the process of de-creation of the human personality. The word "de-creation" means the opposite of creation. The process of de-creation is the conscious renunciation of one's "self," the suspension of it, and the redirection of attention toward what lies beyond it, i.e., reality itself, the world in all its diversity, while one reveals oneself as an unprivileged part of it all, merging with one's environment as a whole.
This is an attempt born out of the ethical concern of creators to experiment, create, and activate new forms of intersubjectivity—mutual interaction—understanding choreography as a certain practice of organizing relationships between different bodies.

Vyčio Jankausko Dance Theater, founded in 1997, is one of the first contemporary dance troupes in independent Lithuania. Since then, the theater has established itself as a unique phenomenon in Lithuanian contemporary dance, consistently following its own path. The troupe has presented its work at various dance and theater festivals in Lithuania and abroad. The creative work of the choreographer and his troupe has been recognized with two Golden Crosses of the Stage: in 2003/2004, the dance performance "The Sunken Valley" was awarded for best choreography and music, and in 2008/2009, V. Jankauskas won the award for best choreographer for the dance performance "Budėjimai" (Wake).
