“A long, long time ago, when all the books in the world had already been conceived but not yet written, there was a city called the City of the Seven Sages. It was home to polite, creative, and curious people who loved to gather in all sorts of clubs: book clubs, knitting clubs, gardening clubs, vegetable-growing clubs, carpentry clubs, and many others.

The townspeople were living happily enough until one day something happened that NO ONE EXPECTED…”

The comedy *A Prestigious Profession* transports viewers to a colorful, surreal party, during which the characters, while having fun, ask questions: What kind of school do we remember? Would we want our children to attend the same kind of school? What are our dream jobs? Not a teacher? Then why not a teacher?

The creative team behind the play sidesteps the grand plans of government officials and dives straight into their own memories, experiences, situations they’ve experienced in school, and seeks ways to discuss the challenges of the education system without losing the human connection—to create a brighter outlook, a better sense of community, and a more beautiful future. This performance is a journey toward the light, accompanied by good vibes, electronic music, and dance. Come join us!
