Taško Theater: Children’s Play “The Upside-Down Trio” (directed by Agnija Šeiko)
Children’s Play: “The Trio Upside Down” | Directed by Agnija Šeiko | Taško Theater
Inspired by German playwright Carsten Brandau’s play *Trijulis aukštyn kojom*, “Taško teatras” invites you to a movement-based performance about friendship for the whole family.
Pirmulė and Dudulė are a duo with their own established order, which they trust unconditionally. However, one day their lives are turned upside down by Trijulė: she doesn’t care about other people’s rules and certainly doesn’t feel obligated to follow them. Through her otherness, she not only provokes Pirmulė and Dudulė to reevaluate the order they have created, but also reveals that otherness in the world is valuable and interesting. After all, what matters most is not rules, but friendship based on mutual trust and respect.
The play tells the story of how a third person, who seems to have fallen from the sky, and his otherness can disrupt the routine of life that had existed until then. However, respect, care, and responsibility—not only for oneself but also for others—help to establish and maintain relationships with a wide variety of people and animals that nurture each individual’s uniqueness.
