Short films are back on the big screen! ![]()
On April 17, we invite you to a special 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐬. A screening of 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐤𝐥𝐲𝐝𝐞̨ 𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐤𝐞 in Klaipėda, presented by actress Laima Akstinaitė.
The “Arlekinas” cinema in the port city is bringing back the program of the latest Lithuanian short films, 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐬. 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐤𝐥𝐲𝐝𝐞̨ 𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐤𝐞. It offers a sensitive, bold, and poetic look at people and their surroundings. The five films explore parent-child relationships, childhood in apartment courtyards, fragile and fleeting intimacy, returning to a changing city, and the search for freedom on its outskirts. The film’s protagonists wander both through the city’s spaces and their inner worlds, trying to understand where their home and their identity lie.
The 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐬 program. 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐤𝐥𝐲𝐝𝐞̨ 𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐤𝐞 will be shown only on April 17 at 6:00 p.m. at the Arlekinas cinema in Klaipėda.

of Concrete” is a short film about children who grew up in the courtyards of Soviet apartment blocks in Lithuania, who lacked their parents’ attention and love, and who struggled every day to survive and escape the violence on the streets.
PASSING BY NAPOLEON’S HAT, dir. Arnas Balčiūnas, fiction, 2025, 15 min., Lithuania
A son picks up his father from a psychiatric hospital and takes him home to his grandparents. The father tries to rebuild their relationship, but the son, like his grandparents, remains indifferent to him. They spend the day together.
LOVING, dir. Vesta Tučkutė, fiction, 2026, 13 min., Lithuania, USA
A story about Adela and Ben—two strangers whose brief encounter in Lithuania blossoms into a tender yet profound connection. Through small fragments of shared moments—swimming in a lake, nighttime conversations, and a quiet farewell—the film sensitively reveals the beauty of fragile transience and the longing for love. An intimate and subtle story about how we remember, forget, and preserve the people who shape us.
ON CONDUCTORS’ STREET, dir. Gintė Regina, fiction, 2026, 15 min., Lithuania
In search of her grandmother’s home, a young woman returns to Old Vilnius—a city where the past is rapidly fading away to make way for the future. She wanders through the changing streets and encounters colorful locals, but as night falls, reaching her destination becomes increasingly difficult. The film is a poetic reflection on constant movement and the desire to belong.
THE SECOND CITY, dir. Kristina Savickaitė, documentary, 2026, 12 min., Lithuania
In search of a sense of freedom and an escape from the chaos of everyday life, four friends wander through parts of Vilnius’s Old Town that are inaccessible to most. Together, they discover a hidden part of the city where they become almost invisible; the world seems to calm down, and their bond grows stronger.
