Šeiko Dance Theater: dance performance for children aged 3-10, "White Lullaby"
Dance performance for children aged 3-10, "White Lullaby"
A dance performance for children, filled with fairy-tale magic and contemporary aesthetics, about longing, love, dreams, and strong family ties.
Aesthetic and subtle, choreographer Agnija Šeiko's dance performance "Baltoji lopšinė" (White Lullaby), intended for children aged 3 to 10, envelops the audience in the mythology of Lithuanian fairy tales. However, unlike usual, this fairy tale is not about the past, but rather about the present. Through the characters in the fairy tale, the performance addresses the situation of modern children, whose mothers are far away and whom they can see more often in their dreams than in reality.
The creators of the play seek answers to a painful question facing modern families: how to explain to a child that even though their parents are forced to spend long hours at work or even leave their home country for important reasons, they are always close in their thoughts and feelings, loving and caring.
