He has danced in performances by choreographers such as Andonis Foniadakis and Jo Strømgren, as well as in various other projects in Germany, Israel, and the Netherlands. From 2015 to 2017, Claes was a member of the Kaunas Dance Theatre AURA troupe, and in 2017 he joined the Šeiko Dance Theatre troupe. In 2017–2018, he taught at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, and in 2017, he was invited to teach at the Čiurlionis School of Arts.

In 2017 and 2020, N. Claes was awarded the Golden Stage Cross in the Dancer of the Year category.

Currently, Niels is continuing his professional career and master's studies in the Netherlands (Co-creation of Movement Masters of the Arts, Fontys School of Fine and Performing Arts), and on February 24-25, he will return to Klaipėda to share his experience with dance students and dance school pupils!

About the seminar:

During the Connect-ID flow seminar, the main focus will be on light, organic movement and how to make the most of your body's energy while dancing. When performing movements, great attention will be paid to body weight distribution, spine movement, body relaxation, and the search for dancers' personal movement uniqueness.

Niels will share the fundamental principles that have guided him throughout his long professional career. The aim of this practical workshop is to help dancers become stronger, understand their movement choices, and apply the knowledge gained during the workshop to their own movement identity and body type.

February 25, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
