“Dreams Like Stars” – Saulius Petreikis’ Holiday Tour

At the end of the year, multi-instrumentalist Saulius Petreikis and his band invite you to their annual concert tour across Lithuania. The program, titled “Dreams Like Stars,” will feature original music, the sounds of ancient wind instruments from around the world, and improvisation.

In Saulius’s work, the musical traditions of different cultures blend with the band’s contemporary sound. The focus on instrumental timbres, melody, and rhythm creates music that encompasses both tranquility and movement. Live performances leave room for the musicians’ spontaneous decisions, so the pieces sound slightly different at every concert.

“For us, this tour is an annual gathering with our audience. We prepare the music and rehearse, but part of the concert comes together only on stage: as we listen to one another and respond to the audience. It’s that live connection that keeps us coming back every year,” says Saulius Petreikis.

“Dreams Like Stars” – an evening dedicated to music and listening. The concerts welcome both those familiar with Saulius’s work and those who want to hear him and the band perform live for the first time.

The concerts will take place:
December 27 at the Kaunas Cultural Center;
