Klaipėda is currently hosting some special guests – young actors from Ukraine, some of whom recently studied at the Klaipėda Faculty of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater. They came from Kiev to create a play based on the play "Paukštyno bendrabutis" by Lithuanian playwright Mindaugas Nastaravičius. This work is unique in that most of the roles are played by female characters, which is particularly relevant now that Ukrainian men are unable to leave the country.

Since August 1, they have been rehearsing in Klaipėda together with director Valentinas Masalskis, and will present the first result of their work – a sketch of the performance – on August 14 at 6 p.m. at the Culture Factory.

After the sketch is shown, viewers will be invited to stay for a meeting with the creative team.
Later, the creative process will move to Kiev, where the performance will be completed and presented to the local audience – in a city where, even when sirens are blaring, people flock to the theater.

The Culture Factory is delighted to contribute and support young Ukrainian actors.
The performance will be in Ukrainian with Lithuanian subtitles.

"The Bird Yard Dormitory" – a sketch of the play and a meeting with the creative team We

currently have special guests in Klaipėda – young actors from Ukraine, some of whom recently studied at the Klaipėda Faculty of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater. They came from Kyiv to work on a play based on the play "Bird Yard Dormitory" by Lithuanian playwright Mindaugas Nastaravičius. This work is special in that most of the roles in it are female characters, which is particularly relevant now that men from Ukraine are unable to travel abroad.

From August 1, under the direction of director Valentinas Masalskis, they will be rehearsing in Klaipėda, and the first result of their work – a sketch of the performance – will be presented on August 14 at 6 p.m. at the Culture Factory (5A Bangu Street, Klaipėda).

After the show, viewers are invited to stay for a meeting with the creative team.
The creative process will continue in Kyiv, where the performance will be completed and presented to the local audience—in a city where even the sound of sirens does not deter people from attending the theater in large numbers.
