A collaborative creative project by the Klaipėda Youth Theater and director Kiril Glušajev, artistic director of “Kitas kampas”—Lithuania’s only professional improvisational theater—is the play “LIFE STILL AHEAD.” 

When does adolescence begin, and what marks its start? When and why does it end? Is someone who has turned 18 already an adult? And when will they become an adult? What should you do if you’re an adult at 13, and what if you don’t feel independent even after turning 18 or 30?

During a long and intensive creative process, the creators of the play interviewed several dozen people of various ages, seeking answers to the question of how we all—and each of us individually—enter and emerge from adolescence. Recurring themes from the collected interviews will be woven into the play’s original dramaturgy, intertwined with unique moments from the lives of the interviewees and the actors themselves. Six distinct characters, pieced together from the stories of several dozen people, will meet on stage to relive their adolescence—or perhaps finally step out of it.

At first glance, the creative process behind the production *Life Still Lies Ahead*, a collaboration between the actors of the Klaipėda Youth Theater and the theater school of improvisation master K. Glušajev, reveals itself through new perspectives. In the play, the creators seek to reflect openly on the passage of time that we all experience: sometimes naively and optimistically, sometimes darkly and rebelliously, and sometimes simply blindly.
