Based on Justinas Marcinkevičius' poem "The Spider's Wedding," this musical performance for children, created by the Klaipėda Youth Theater, is a witty and instructive story and musical allegory that highlights our own flaws. During the performance, the audience will meet the impressive and menacing spider Tabala, his minions the beetles, and the birds that protect the sun from the spider. And not only will they meet them – the entire audience, both children and their parents, will be able to participate in the struggle and battle for the sun.
The performance "The Spider's Wedding" stands out for its unexpected set design solutions. The actors create costumes and props from simple, yet seemingly rediscovered objects, such as work gloves that become bird feathers. This choice by the creators is not accidental. The actors of the Klaipėda Youth Theater want children to not only have a great time at the theater, but also to develop their imagination and fantasy and unleash their unlimited creative potential.
