Klaipėda Ballet School: ballet performance Coliukė and Mozart
This is a magical and bright ballet performance for children about Mozart, who lost the note C (Coliukė) somewhere and could no longer compose. While the famous composer was struggling to compose melodies, C (C-sharp) set off on an adventure-filled journey to bring harmony back to music.
The story of Coliukė was chosen as a "key" to get children interested in classical ballet and music. The tale reveals the development of a child's maturation and the challenges that arise. Coliukė will be deceived, mocked, exploited, and her fate will be decided. The performance asks how to know oneself, gain wisdom, resist vanity, and discover one's true self. The neoclassical ballet was created by the talented choreographer and ballerina Aušra Krasauskaitė, the Baroque-inspired costumes by Aina Zinčiukaitė, and the set design, which creates the illusion of large and small, by Aistė Alksnytė. A whole group of students from the Klaipėda Ballet School also appear on stage.
