In observance of Autism Awareness Month in April, the Klaipėda Autism Association “Lietaus vaikai” invites you to a charity film screening of “The Specials” (2019).

Location: Kultūros fabrikas, 5A Bangų St., Klaipėda

Date: April 9 at 6:00 p.m.

The film *The Specials* is a touching and inspiring drama based on true events. It tells the story of two men and their team who work with young people on the autism spectrum—those who are often turned away by traditional educational or care institutions.

Despite bureaucratic hurdles and daily challenges, they create a safe, supportive environment that helps young people grow, learn, and feel accepted. The film sensitively explores humanity, friendship, and unconditional devotion, reminding us of the importance of seeing the person, not the diagnosis.

The film will help us get to know, understand, and accept the people who live among us. All proceeds will go toward supporting the work of the Klaipėda Autism Association “Lietaus vaikai,” which aims to promote greater inclusion of people with autism and provide support to their families.
