RECOMMENDED for those seeking answers to eternal questions

The fear of death is one of the most common causes of anxiety, often manifesting itself in various indirect ways. The literary basis for this performance is psychotherapist Irvin D. Yalom's book Staring at the Sun: Overcoming the Fear of Death, which examines the fear of death through the prism of literature, philosophy, and patient experiences. However, this literature is used only as inspiration for creating a completely new circus and theater dramaturgy.
Anxiety, the rush to achieve something, social isolation, and conflict are just a small part of the common symptoms of our time, which may actually hide anxiety about death. In the current context, when death is so easily accessible and can strike anyone in our immediate environment unexpectedly, through a pandemic, war, ecological disaster, or other unexpected events, it is an appropriate time to talk about this very natural fear. Especially when this anxiety is discussed not in a didactic way, but in a language of movement that raises questions.
This is the first performance of the new Teatron direction, combining contemporary circus and theater.

Teatronas is an unconventional theater troupe that constantly strives to reinterpret the concept of theater, well-known works, and acute social problems in its own way. Seeking authenticity rather than innovation, the troupe's work can boast of having become the most sincere version of itself. This version directly responds to the particularly absurd oxymorons of our contemporary world, which can also be recognized in the troupe's work: humane cynicism, the rush to pause for reflection, the journey toward self-knowledge, the pain of love, and the pursuit of dreams while doing other work. This fundamental mission drives the troupe members forward, providing motivation and a sense of the absurdity of their activities, which is so necessary for our creative work.

Fear of death is among the most common causes of anxiety, often manifesting in various indirect ways. The literary starting point for this performance is the book "Looking at the Sun: How to Overcome the Fear of Death" by psychotherapist Irvin D. Yalom, which examines the fear of death through the prism of literature, philosophy, and the experiences of I. Yalom's patients. However, this literature is used only as an inspiration to create an absolutely new circus and theater dramaturgy. Anxiety, rushing to achieve something, social isolation, conflict – these are just a small part of the common symptoms of our time, which can actually hide anxiety about death. In the current context, when death is so easily accessible, it can happen unexpectedly to anyone from the close environment, pandemics, war, ecological catastrophe and other unexpected events, it is the right time to talk about extremely natural fear. Especially when this anxiety is addressed not in an instructive way, but in the questioning language of movement.
This show is the first one in the new direction of Teatronas in which the company combines theatre and contemporary circus.

Teatronas is an abnormal theatre company that constantly seeks to redefine the notion of theatre, sensitive social problems, and well-known classical stories. The main goal of the company is authenticity rather than artistic innovation, which is why the company can proudly say that it has become the most sincere version of itself. This version directly reflects the oxymorons of our contemporary world that are converted into the company's productions: humane cynicism, the urge to stop and think, the journey into self-discovery, hurting in the name of love, and chasing dreams by doing other jobs.
This main mission leads the company to progress, provides motivation, and gives a sense of the absurdity of our actions, which is much needed in order to create our shows.
