Klaipėda residents, it's time to try theatrical improvisation without restrictions and improvise in a free style! We invite you to a long-format theatrical improvisation workshop, where Deividas will tell you how to create something out of nothing, how to create interesting information consisting of emotions, movements, and words, and how to discover fun ideas in it, develop them continuously, and create free-form improvised situations.

In the first part, we will develop basic improvisation skills – the ability to listen, accept our partner's ideas, and collaborate in creating acting situations. We will try out methods that allow us to make our performances purposeful, lively, unpredictable, and interesting.

In the second part, we will perform group etudes and create basic improvised performances.

In long-form improvisation, performances are created without rules. Performers do not reveal the structure or methods of their performances to the audience. Together with their team, performers must create challenges for themselves, overcome them, and surprise the audience. A strong long-form improvisation performer is able to consciously control their emotions, make interesting decisions, step outside their comfort zone, experiment, draw information from their partner and the environment, and use their personal and colleagues' experiences to create strong content.

The improvisation workshop will be led by Deividas Borodulinas, artistic director of Impro Kaunas theater. He has been intensively improvising for nine years, teaching others to improvise for eight of those years, and has six years of international experience.

He has performed in Oslo, Copenhagen, and Warsaw, and studied improvisation with masters such as Will Hines, Adam Cawley, Rob Norman, Jeff Michalski, Monika Smith, Alex Berg, Inbal Lori, and others. Deividas has graduated from UCB and WGIS "game of the scene" style improvisation schools. He likes to improvise intensely and constantly seek the limits of improvisation. Deividas performs in the troupes "Mini-Fridge" (international) and POSH, and also performs with members of the "Impro Kaunas" theater at private events.
