Contact improvisation workshop
Being and remaining in the present moment while dancing with a partner—returning to the quality of NOW—is one of the main principles of contact improvisation dance. Improvisation is the art of the moment, requiring awareness of your own and your partner's states, a sense of space, constant adaptation to the changing dynamics of movement, and the ability to perceive what is actually happening, rather than what you think should be happening.
However, the simple pleasure of moving and dancing together is no less important. As Steve Paxton, one of the pioneers of contact improvisation, has said: "Just the pleasure of moving and the pleasure of using your body is, I think, maybe the main point. And the pleasure of dancing with somebody in an unplanned and spontaneous way, where you're free to invent and they're free to invent and you're neither one hampering the other – that's a very pleasant social form."

To learn the practice of contact improvisation, regardless of your level of experience;

Contact improvisation (CI) is a dance technique that was started in 1972 in the US by Steve Paxton's improvisational dance and performance group. Contact improvisation combines many movement practices, contemporary dance, martial arts (especially aikido and capoeira), acrobatic elements, etc., which help prepare the body for conscious and playful movement together.
Touch is one of the essential tools of contact improvisation, inviting exploration and discovery of new trajectories of movement. This form of dance helps to establish a better connection not only with one's own body, but also awakens curiosity to move, playfulness, and spontaneity. Free movement, touch, and nonverbal communication can bring unexpected insights about oneself, one's surroundings, or the world.
