We staged this play almost eight years ago, but it is still relevant today! My little daughter, to whom I used to read the book KAKĖ MAKĖ ir
DIDELĖ TAMSA (Kakė Makė and the Big Darkness) before bedtime, inspired me to stage it. It beautifully describes children's fears. Children are often afraid to sleep in the dark, afraid of shadows, their imagination, and being alone…
This dance performance is different; it is about joyful darkness! ![]()
It is about darkness that does not hide various evil creatures, but darkness in which wonderful music of the stars sounds and cheerful shadows live. When we sleep, we are enveloped in a sweet fairy tale of darkness, where bells ring, stars dance, and the things we leave behind come to life and play. Therefore, there is no need to be afraid of darkness; instead, we should make friends with it. ![]()
