This presentation will present the results of a practical study aimed at answering the question of how to properly apply the rotoscoping method in animation. This question is particularly relevant today because, although rotoscoping has been successfully used in animation for over a century, this method is still viewed with mixed feelings within the international animation community and is often criticized. The presentation will discuss the insights formulated during the research, which will help animators effectively apply the rotoscoping method and avoid the most common mistakes in its application. The presentation is intended for both novice animators and experienced animation professionals who plan to incorporate rotoscoping into their creative practice.
