BLON Education | Woodcut-Style Animation in a VR 360 Project: Technical Challenges and Insights

18 September 2026 14:30

This presentation will feature a case study of the VR 360 animated film *Eglė, Queen of Serpents*. Particular attention will be paid to the film’s visual style—specifically, the decision to adapt the woodcut aesthetic, once widely used in Lithuanian fairy tale illustrations, for contemporary VR animation. The creative, production, and technological challenges posed by this choice will also be discussed. The presentation is intended for creators, students, and anyone interested in or planning to create VR 360 animation projects.

The presentation will be in Lithuanian.
