AUTUMN MARATHON | Mantas Pronckus "How AI is changing creativity: The interconnection between AI and XR in the creation of VR films"
At this meeting, participants in the Autumn Marathon will learn about the rapidly changing field of creativity, where artificial intelligence, extended reality (XR), and virtual reality cinema converge. Mantas Pronckus will present how AI tools are transforming visual creation processes, how they are applied in XR projects, and what opportunities they open up for VR filmmaking.
We will explore how AI can help shape visual solutions, accelerate creative stages, create complex spaces, objects, and narratives, and expand the boundaries of the creator's imagination. This is an opportunity to see how technology becomes a creative partner rather than just a technical tool.
Mantas Pronckus (born 1991) – Head of Play Life Creative Studio, 3D graphic designer, creator of VR films and interactive experiences.
Growing up in Telšiai, he attended art and music schools while still at school, and his interest in computer graphics became apparent at the age of 16. Although he initially chose a different path and completed a bachelor's degree in journalism at Klaipėda University, creativity and visual media became his main professional focus.
After acquiring technical skills with the help of a mentor, Mantas began working as a 3D modeler at PixelGuardian, and later became a freelance creator. His need for creativity led him to various interdisciplinary projects:
• the interactive theatrical manifesto Oxygen, combining elements of theater and video media;
• the design concept for the Flying Theater;
• VR projects, including Playing Life and the children's experience Dominykas the Horse's Journey to the Stars.
Currently, Mantas is exploring the integration of AI and XR technologies, developing VR cinema projects, and working with his team to bring a full-length 3D animated film project to life.
The seminar is free of charge. No registration is required.
