AUTUMN MARATHON: Imagination and creativity workshop with Urte Jasenka

29 November 2025 11:00
Free

Workshop participants will be invited to relax, let go of control, and create with watercolors without rules. They will experiment with colors, free brushstrokes, and abstractions. The most important thing here is not the result, but the creative process itself. The artist emphasizes that the goal of the classes is to help people open up, not underestimate themselves, and simply allow themselves to be creative.

Once the watercolors have dried, participants will use dark markers or pencils and their imagination to search for more concrete forms hidden in the splashes of color. The images they discover will be highlighted using new tools. This process is reminiscent of childhood – lighthearted playfulness, curiosity, and the joy of discovery. It not only develops thinking and encourages the emergence of original ideas, but also helps to get to know oneself, to feel what lives inside – light or shadows.

Workshop sessions at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Urtė Jasenka (born in 1993) is a young artist who creates a unique, minimalist world full of symbols and emotional layers in her work. She studied at the M. K. Čiurlionis National Art School, then went on to study in Norway, where she graduated from Manger folkehøgskule in 2014 with a degree in music and vocals.

Urtė's style, which took shape during her school years, is characterized by vivid symbolism, recurring elements, natural motifs, narratives, and a dual emotional style. Her work combines light and darkness, fragility and wonder, melancholy and the search for beauty. The author explores both the bright and dark sides of human nature and reflects on it through her experiences, observations of her surroundings, and her personal inner world.

Since 2009, Urtė has been actively creating and participating in collective and personal exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad (Norway, Germany, Italy). She currently lives and works in Klaipėda.

Registration for the workshop is closed.
