Events

During the creative workshops, participants will be invited to pause and listen to their inner world. They will observe the impulses, sensations, and subtle inner movements sent by the body. Listening to the body, pausing, and movement will become creative tools that help to fantasize, experiment, and create.

During the sessions, we will explore the thoughts, stories, and ideas that already exist within the participants and are waiting for an opportunity to be heard, seen, and told. The workshops will take place in a safe, playful, and creative atmosphere where everyone can participate as much as they feel comfortable and acceptable.

Fantasy, writing, movement, and reflection will become a natural part of the process, taking place without pressure and with respect for the individual rhythm of each participant.

Teklė Kavtaradzė (born 1990) is a playwright and screenwriter. Her first book was published while she was still in school, and her debut play, Namisėda, arba Kambarys pilnas personažų (The Housekeeper, or A Room Full of Characters), won the Versmės competition in 2011 and was staged at the Lithuanian National Drama Theater in 2012 (directed by G. Tuminaitė).

Since 2017, Teklė has been actively collaborating with the younger generation of Lithuanian theater directors. Together with Olga Lapina, she created the dramaturgy for the play About Fears (State Youth Theater). With Šarūnas Datenis, she adapted Danguolė Kandrotienė's "Spintos istorijos" (Cupboard Stories) and Carlo Collodi's "Pinokio nuotykiai" (The Adventures of Pinocchio) into the language of contemporary theater, creating the plays "Kaime nėra Wi-Fi" (There's No Wi-Fi in the Village) and "Pinokis" (Pinocchio) (Vilnius Theater "Lėlė").

She also worked on the project "Sapnavau sapnavau" (I Dreamed, I Dreamed), which explores the themes of the everyday life and inner world of imprisoned people.

Teklė's play "Several Conversations About (Christ)," written for the 2013 Versmės competition, was presented not only in Lithuania, but also in Latvia. Director Tadas Montrimas' production remained in the LNDT repertoire for a long time. Teklė's work is characterized by a sensitive view of the human condition and a subtle balance of humor and melancholy, while her narrative style naturally resonates with young audiences, while maintaining respect for traditional dramatic structures.
