 As every year, the 19th Vilnius Short Film Festival will open the film festival season and will take place on January 21-27, 2026, at the ARLEKINAS cinema in Klaipėda and throughout Lithuania on the ŽMONĖS Cinema and LRT Epika platforms.

This year, we are ready to paint January with even brighter colors! We will bring to the big screen a program of short films that will captivate, thrill, enchant, and make you laugh, promising to draw you into the magical and colorful world of short stories.

 In 2024, the Vilnius Short Film Festival was the first in Lithuania to win an Oscar, and in 2025, it qualified for the European Film Awards. Films competing in the festival’s competition programs have the opportunity to compete for Oscars and European Film Awards.

 This year, the festival is also taking even stronger steps towards inclusion and accessibility for people with disabilities and other socially vulnerable groups. Therefore, some of the programs will be adapted for viewing by people with disabilities.
