29 May 2026 18:00
Free

On May 29 at 6 p.m., Klaipėda Culture Factory and KUFA resident Pajūrio Chorus invite Klaipėda residents and visitors to join a community initiative and celebrate European Neighbors’ Day together. This year’s community-building initiative is special: it will bring together a one-day neighbors’ choir, with which the organizers aim to achieve the “Largest Neighbors’ Choir” 𝘳𝘦𝘬𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘰 (an exceptional achievement): the largest number of neighbors singing at the same time. The record will be verified by the Public Institution “Lithuanian Record Service.”

The program includes:

– Neighbors’ Gathering
– A lively warm-up

Setting the record for the “Largest Neighbors’ Choir” – A repertoire of songs familiar to everyone*

*Stay tuned—we’ll be announcing the lineup soon.

Everyone is welcome to join, regardless of age, profession, or musical background. We welcome not only those who sang in a choir as children, but also those who dreamed of doing so but haven’t yet dared to take the first step.

European Neighbors’ Day reminds us how important it is to get to know the people who live nearby, strengthen community ties, and build a city where it feels good to be together.

The organizers encourage you to bring your neighbor along to the festival! After all, a neighbor is a neighbor!

Date: May 29

Young Theater Days 2026

05 August 2026 10:00

KUFA residents, Klaipėdos jaunimo teatras, invite you to the 14th edition of the Jauno Teatro Dienos (Young Theatre Days) Festival, bringing together theatre professionals from across Lithuania to create, experiment, exchange ideas, and collaborate.

Creative teams made up of directors*, set designers, composers, actors, and other performing arts professionals will develop original stage sketches across various venues in Klaipėda. The festival will culminate in a public showcase of these newly created works.

Join us for free sketch presentations on August 8, taking place in different locations throughout Klaipėda.

This year’s directors and choreographers working with the selected creative teams:

𝐀𝐠𝐧𝐞̇ 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐜̌𝐢𝐮̄𝐭𝐞̇ is a composer, sound artist, and director creating work for theatre, film, and interdisciplinary performance. A true one-woman orchestra, Agnė also contributes to the Muzika erdvėje and Sirenos festivals. Her artistic practice is distinguished by a unique approach to sound, combining music, space, technology, and performance.

𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐬 𝐆𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐤𝐚𝐬 is one of Lithuania’s most acclaimed theatre and film actors, who in recent years has also established himself as a director. A recipient of the Golden Stage Cross award, a long-time actor with OKT Theatre, and artistic director of VšĮ Darbinininkai, his directorial work explores the inner world of human experience, memory, and addiction.

𝐔𝐫𝐬̌𝐮𝐥𝐞̇ 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐨𝐬̌𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐜̌𝐢𝐮̄𝐭𝐞̇ is an emerging theatre director working in Lithuania and internationally, from Germany to Iceland and Ukraine. She completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre under Yana Ross. Her work focuses on themes of time, intergenerational relationships, and collective memory.

𝐍𝐚𝐮𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐉𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐤𝐚𝐬 is one of the leading voices of Lithuania’s new generation of theatre-makers. Creating bold and contemporary productions both in Lithuania and abroad, he studied at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre with Jonas Vaitkus and Yana Ross. His production bowel earned him the Golden Stage Cross award in the Young Artist category.

Beyond creating new stage works, participants of the Jauno Teatro Dienos festival also take part in professional workshops. This year’s programme includes creative workshops led by contemporary dance artist and choreographer Mantas Stabačinskas.

"Portraits in Words": Mačernis | 23 and Eternity

28 April 2026 18:00
Free

“Portraits in Words” is a new experiential literary evening initiative launched by KUFA in collaboration with Word Lab, inviting you to encounter extraordinary individuals through their texts, their times, and their inner states.

The first evening is dedicated to VYTAUTAS MAČERNIS. A poet who did not live to grow old, but who became eternal.

This won’t be a lecture. Not a commemoration. Not a performance. Not just a poetry reading.

This is a living attempt to bring Lithuania’s newest classics to life—through words, light, silence, and questions.

ON THE PROGRAM:

🔹 Live and audio readings of Vytautas Mačernis’s texts, brought
to life by the voices of Valentinas Masalskis and Donatas Stakėnas—on time, existence, eternity, and love. About the author himself, through the words he wrote.

🔹 Visuals:
Projections, excerpts from contemporary documentary footage, archival photographs.

🔹 Music
: Musical interludes inspired by the poetry of Vytautas Mačernis.

🔹 Expert literary insight: Contextual commentary by Ramunė Galdikienė, an expert
teacher of Lithuanian language and literature at Klaipėda Lyceum.

WHO IS THIS EVENING FOR?

For those who have ever felt that their age doesn’t match their mindset.
For those who are concerned with questions about existence.

The event is free, but space is limited.

Creative Community Meeting: “Don’t Eat Alone”

23 March 2026 15:00
Free

Have you ever thought about how many opportunities arise during a simple conversation? Keith Ferrazzi, author of *Never Eat Alone*, reminds us that the strongest connections are formed not during formal meetings, but through human, open conversations. It is from these that ideas, partnerships, and communities are born.

Based on this idea, we invite Klaipėda’s creatives and cultural professionals to a late community lunch at KUFA! What awaits

you:
• The opening of the renovated KUFA 4th-floor coworking space;
• An introduction to the participants of the KUFA mentorship program;
• A presentation by the new members of the KUFA community—the “eRobot.ai” team;
• Informal conversations, ideas, and new connections;
Date and time:
📅 March 23 (Monday)
🕒 3:00 PM
