How long does it take to walk around Lithuania? A Camper's Adventures
You can explore Lithuania by train, car, or on foot—but you can also do so through the pages of a book. After all, you’re free to travel and read however you like!
Oh, have you ever wondered how big Lithuania is? How long would it take to walk around it? And what should you bring on a trip like that?
On October 18 at 1:00 p.m., the Lithuanian Audiosensory Library invites young travelers to an educational event titled “How Long Does It Take to Travel Around Lithuania? A Camper’s Adventures,” which will take place at the Klaipėda Culture Factory.
We’ll be welcoming Šarūnas Dignaitis—the man who walked the length of Lithuania on foot in 2019! Now he’s coming to share his experiences with us! Šarūnas will talk about what his journey on foot was like and demonstrate the gear needed for camping. And most importantly—he’ll bring Bela along to the event.
This four-legged friend accompanied Šarūnas on his journey, and now she’s ready to wag her tail at this event too!
This educational material is based on K. Šerkšnienė’s children’s book *A Fun Journey Through Lithuania* (published by “Debesų ganyklos,” 2024), so it is no coincidence that we will be exploring the e-book version in EPUB format, published specifically for children with reading difficulties.
The Lithuanian Audio-Sensory Library is committed to ensuring that everyone can read books. That’s why the library team will show young travelers how the digital EPUB format makes reading a simple, convenient, and joyful experience.
Sign up and reserve your spot for the adventure!
